Here, Tyler's family and friends contribute thoughts and pictures of the wonderful guy we loved so much. He was a dear friend and companion to many, and his vibrant and curious persona effected everyone around him. Although Tyler would probably not choose a blog as a place for his remembrance, we know that he would understand the importance of bringing everyone from the varying ends of his life together to honor his spirit and celebrate his life.

Hi there, sorry I've just heard about this today. When did this happen exactly? I am so saddened by hearing about this. I've climbed with Tyler on Chopi August of 2006. Together with another friend of mine, Bob Taylor, we reached the summit of Chopi on the 9th of August, but the weather was against us, and if it wasn't for Tyler I would have lost a finger of five...he was an amazing guide, it is very hard to believe that I will never see him again.
